Joe Marler on his first day in the Celebrity Traitors castleJoe Marler has reflected on his surprise banishment in The Celebrity Traitors finale, suggesting it was his “creepiness” that threw his fellow contestants.Yes, almost a month later, we’re still talking about that finale – otherwise known as the TV moment of the year – and now Joe has explained why his closest ally Nick Mohammed turned against him at the eleventh hour.Prior to that, the former rugby star and Ted Lasso actor had been close friends throughout the series, and had even devised a plan to oust the “Traitors”.However, at the last minute, Nick made the shocking decision to vote out the rugby star, believing him to be a “Traitor”.Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed pictured together during the final moments of The Celebrity TraitorsSpeaking to Metro, Joe recalled: “A couple of weeks [after filming], I got to properly debrief with Nick, and I was like, ‘What changed, mate? I thought we were going for it?’.“And turns out, I was just a little bit creepy. Maybe I was a little bit too intense with him when I said, ‘Mate, you’re 100% Faithful; I just want us to be in the final’.“I was a bit too much for him. And it made him feel like, ‘He could be a Traitor here.
